The municipality of Vila Viçosa doesn’t consider the car as its first enemy, instead it understands its importance to nowadays societies. So, it was necessary to create the required infra-structures, the car-parks, to fulfil the needs of those who use terrestrial means of transport.

The parking problem is a present evident reality so, the Town Hall makes available to the whole population several parking places placed in some strategic points.

Vila Viçosa has five car-parks with the following location: two right in the town centre (Terreiro do Paço and Republic Square), a parking for heavy vehicles in the Industrial Park of Vila Viçosa, one in the Rossio Square and another in the back of the Cine-theatre Florbela Espanca.
